A NOTE TO THE GROWN-UPS
You don’t need to have every answer. Just a little time, a curious kid, and a willingness to discover something together.
In the Operation series, the parent is the CO—the mission commander. You introduce the mission, guide the practice, and celebrate what they learn.
Small missions. Time well spent.Set the scene. Read the mission together and find out what’s ahead.
Put learning into practice, from mapwork at the table to observing wildlife outdoors.
Talk through discoveries. Check understanding. Recognize a new skill earned.
Every first-aid drill is parent-supervised. The books introduce educational activities; they do not replace professional training or emergency care.
MEET THE AUTHOR
A.J. Mour is the pen name behind the Operation series, published under BMOUR FAMILY OPS. Rooted in Washington State, these books bring map skills, wildlife discovery, and first aid into parent-guided learning.
At the heart of the series is a simple idea: give children something real to explore, and someone to explore it with.
